Which AMC MCQ pack should you choose?
500 questions (A$50): a focused top-up
Right if your exam is a few weeks away, you already use another resource, or you want a blueprint-weighted set to find and fix weak areas. At 84 seconds a question, 500 questions is about 12 hours of timed practice before review.
1,000 questions (A$100): a full study cycle
Our most popular pack. It suits a 2–3 month plan: work through every domain in tutor mode, then sit timed blocks and mocks and redo the questions you missed.
3,000 questions (A$300): the complete bank
For a 4–6 month plan, a retake, or anyone who wants to see every subtopic more than once. It is also the lowest price per question, at A$10 per 100.
Packs are nested, so upgrading later keeps everything you have done. See our AMC MCQ study plan to match a pack to your timeline.

AMC MCQ pack questions
How many questions are in the AMC MCQ exam?
The AMC CAT MCQ has 150 single-best-answer questions, each with five options, sat in one 3.5-hour session at a Pearson VUE test centre. That is about 84 seconds per question, and you must answer each one before the next appears.
What is the AMC MCQ pass mark?
Results are reported on a scale from 0 to 500 and the pass mark is 250. Because the test is computer adaptive and scaled, 250 does not mean 50% correct. The AMC has advised candidates of an update to the pass standard for 2026 sittings, so check the current specifications on amc.org.au.
How much does the AMC MCQ cost?
At the time of writing (October 2026) the AMC charges A$2,920 for the CAT MCQ examination authorisation and A$642 to establish your initial portfolio. Fees change, so confirm them on the AMC website before you apply.
Are these real AMC exam questions?
No. Every question is original and written in the single-best-answer style of the AMC MCQ, mapped to the six exam domains and to current Australian practice. We never reproduce recalled exam papers.
How do the 500, 1,000 and 3,000 question packs work?
Each pack is a one-time payment with no subscription: A$50 for 500 questions, A$100 for 1,000 or A$300 for all 3,000. Packs are nested, so the 1,000 pack includes all 500 questions from the smaller pack, and every pack is balanced across the six domains in blueprint proportions.
Can I try before I buy?
Yes. A free account gives you 60 sample questions, 10 from every domain, in tutor mode with full explanations and your own performance dashboard.
Is there a full AMC mock exam?
Yes. Every pack includes the exam simulator: 150 questions in AMC blueprint proportions, a 3.5-hour countdown and forward-only navigation, followed by a breakdown by domain and subtopic.
Who checks the questions?
Questions are written against Australian guidelines such as eTG, RACGP, the Australian Immunisation Handbook, the national screening programs and the Medical Board code of conduct, then go through a clinical review workflow. Reviewed questions carry a Doctor reviewed badge, and you can report any question in one click.
How long do I keep access?
Your pack stays on your account. It is a one-time payment, with no subscription and no monthly fee.
Is this affiliated with the Australian Medical Council?
No. AMC MCQs is an independent study resource and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the AMC.
